Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating a PawPals account, downloading the app, or using this website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree with any part of them, please don't use PawPals. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live) to create an account, and old enough to enter into a binding contract for anything beyond that, or have a parent or guardian accept these terms on your behalf. We may update these terms as the product evolves; when we make a material change we'll notify you in the app or by email, and continuing to use PawPals after that means you accept the updated terms.

2. Beta disclaimer

PawPals is currently in beta. That means the service is provided to you "as is" and "as available" while we test, fix, and improve it. Features may change, break, or disappear without notice; data may occasionally be lost or reset; and there may be downtime. We do our best, but during the beta we can't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. In exchange for your patience and feedback, beta access is free. Please don't rely on PawPals as your only record of your pet's health information — keep your own backups of anything that matters to you.

3. Accounts & pet profiles

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for everything that happens under your account. Give us accurate registration information and keep it current. You may create profiles for pets you own or are responsible for, and you agree the information you enter about your pets — health records, temperament, breed details — is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Other users will rely on what you publish in public parts of a pet profile when deciding whether to meet up, so please keep it honest. If we suspend or terminate your account for a breach of these terms, you may not create a new one without our permission.

4. Your content

Photos, health records, descriptions, and messages you add to PawPals are yours — we don't claim ownership of anything you create. To make the app work, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display your content within PawPals, and to process it as described in our Privacy Policy (including sending relevant health-record text to our AI provider to generate your pet's insights). This license exists only to operate the service: we won't use your pet's photos in our own marketing without asking you first. You're responsible for having the right to share anything you upload, including photos of other people's pets. If you delete content or your account, we remove it from the live service; backups may persist for a limited period before being purged.

5. Community rules

PawPals exists for the wellbeing of pets and the humans who love them. The following are not allowed, and content or accounts that break these rules may be removed and reported where appropriate:

• No animal abuse content. No images, videos, or descriptions of animal cruelty, neglect, or abuse of any kind, and no using the app to organize anything harmful to animals.
• No harassment. No bullying, threats, hate speech, sexual content, or targeting of other users. Disagreements are fine; being cruel is not.
• No illegal breeding practices. No breeding activity that violates applicable animal-welfare laws — including puppy-mill-style operations, breeding animals that are too young or unhealthy, or any breeding that a licensed veterinarian would consider harmful.
• No illegal activity. No content or conduct that violates the law where you use PawPals, and no attempts to hack, scrape at scale, or disrupt the service for others.

If you see something that breaks these rules, report it in the app or email aryan@quantumsglobal.com — we take reports seriously.

6. Health information & AI insights disclaimer

PawPals can generate AI-assisted summaries, reminders, and suggestions based on the health records you enter, processed through a third-party AI service as described in our Privacy Policy. These insights are informational only and are not veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment. AI systems make mistakes, misread context, and can be confidently wrong — always consult a qualified veterinarian before making any decision about your pet's health, diet, medication, vaccination, or breeding. Never delay seeking veterinary care because of something the app told you. If your pet seems unwell, contact a vet.

7. Availability & termination

We work hard to keep PawPals available, but we may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service — temporarily or permanently — including during and after the beta. You can stop using PawPals and delete your account at any time, either in the app or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, if keeping the account active would pose a risk to other users or animals, or where the law requires it. When your account is deleted, so are your pet profiles, health records, and photos, subject to the short backup-retention window described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PawPals and Quantum Solutions — including our directors, officers, employees, and contractors — are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or pets' wellbeing arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to PawPals is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which, during the free beta, may be zero) or (b) the minimum amount such a limit can be under applicable law. This limitation doesn't apply where the law doesn't allow it, including for liability that can't legally be excluded.

9. Governing terms

These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Where you live, you may also have consumer-protection rights that these terms can't limit — nothing here takes those away. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
